In this spirit of giving, we are pleased to support several charities in partnership with our clients. Every year, Wealth Trac Financial donates funds raised for our Charity of the Year through programs including Flat Kurt and our Ambassador Program.

Our Charity of the Year – ANGELS OF HOPE Angels of Hope is an all-volunteer non-profit serving children and families battling cancer exclusively in the state of Michigan. Since 2004, Angels of Hope has supported children and those who care for them as they face the many physical, emotional, and financial challenges that accompany the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Impressively, 98% of donations and proceeds from events directly assist qualifying families.

SIGNATURE PROGRAM

The original signature program provides emergency financial assistance to families battling cancer. Unfortunately, 62% of cancer patients are in debt due to treatment, and at least 42% of new cancer patients lose their life savings due to medical expenses. Angels of Hope helps these families avoid financial stresses by granting funds to cover regular expenses such as rent or mortgage, auto or home repair, utility payments, groceries and fuel.

Friends of Foster Kids

Friends of Foster Kids is an amazing charity providing holiday gifts to local children in the foster care system, who would otherwise go without. Founded in 2008, Friends of Foster Kids provides a “Christmas” for local foster children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, and placed in temporary housing or shelters. In a season often focused on family, granting a child’s wish speaks softly of unconditional love from people who care. Recently, Friends of Foster Kids expanded its service to lend a hand to those who have aged out of foster care (at age 20) but are still in need of assistance. Many find themselves with no family and no place to live, so Friends of Foster Kids helps them meet some of their basic needs to live independently. Shades of Pink Foundation

Shades of Pink Foundation was founded in 2005 on the principle that no person should have to forgo life-saving medical treatment to pay for monthly bills. Shades of Pink is dedicated to ensuring that breast cancer patients throughout Southeast Michigan have access to a financial safety net so they can focus household resources on treatment and recovery. They have helped hundreds of breast cancer patients and survivors through financial support to assist with utility bills, rent and mortgage payments, COBRA payments, day care fees, transportation costs and other bills.
