Kurt Fillmore is Founder and President of Wealth Trac Financial. He has over 14 years’ experience as a financial planning professional. Kurt holds a Series 65 license, earning the designation of Investment Advisor Representative with fiduciary duty, as well as holding life and health insurance licenses. He is also a Notary Public in the state of Michigan.
Kurt began his career in finance with CitiGroup and was named National Financial Counselor of the Year in 2002 and 2003. Having been a successful advisor at one of the largest financial companies in the country, Kurt learned that big firms offer too few investment options for their clients. Therefore, Kurt carved his own path by becoming an independent advisor, specializing in retirement and estate planning. This allowed Kurt to pick and choose the best planning and investment solutions from any company, ultimately providing optimal, customized plans for his clients.
Kurt has appeared in numerous publications and media outlets as an expert in wealth management and estate planning. Some highlights include Forbes, CNN, Consumer Reports, Detroit FOX-2 News, and National Public Radio (NPR).
Kurt was born and raised in Michigan and takes pride in serving the specific needs of his fellow Michigan residents. Kurt attended the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning his degree in Finance. He lives in Bingham Farms with his wife, Erika, and their two small children, Dylan and Elliana.
